I know we're all dentists here, but in case someone feels like playing a tree surgeon, I have a problem.
I have termites in a large, ~50 year old fruitless mulberry in my front yard. The first pest control guy said there were both subterranean and drywood termites. Second guy just said that the tree has them, didn't get specific. The house doesn't show signs of them. Neither pest control guy said much of anything about what to do with the tree.
I'm probably going to go forward with doing the perimeter chemical injection to protect the house once I get a third price for it, the question is what to do with the tree. It seems somewhat healthy, but I'm only a dentist. The tree guy I had come out 6 years ago said it wasn't doing well and probably only had 5 years left in it. Any free internet advice?
