Women's Boots with Tech Soles (Swappable Would be a Plus), Also Binding Recs

mardi 29 septembre 2015

Mrs. Kevo is getting back into skiing after spending the past 17 years as a snowboarder. She is looking for boot recs from me, but I'm still skiing a pair of Titans from 2010-2011 and haven't been keyed into what's going on with boots in the past 5 years.

She demoed lots of different boots and skis last year. She's picked it up really quickly and is looking for a pair of boots to drive a pair of 164 Rossignol Sin 7s.

Her stats-
-5'5''
-125 lbs
-Size 22/ women's size 6 foot.
-Can get down anything on skis. Can get down anything while throwing 360's and 180's on a snowboard- it won't be long before she is there on skis. She's pretty aggressive and liked fairly stiff boots that she demoed last year (Dalbelo, Salomon, etc).

She is getting into skiing full time and is specifically interested in having something to do hut trips with, so she wants tech bindings. We ski inbounds a lot too, so an alpine oriented boot is pretty important to her. She's trying to steer clear of touring specific boots.

The boot that she really likes is the Salomon Quest Pro 100 which she was told doesn't have a tech sole option. She needs a size 22.

She says- "I really like the Salomon Quest Pro 110. if it could be used with dynafit I would be sold. Lange XT110 had a loose heel and was stiffer hitting my shin so it hurt. Technica chosie 90 was a good fit but again the shin hit wrong and hurt."

What other options does she have? Did Salomon ever figure out their tech sole problems from 5 years ago?

As for bindings, she really wants tech bindings but would potentially be up for some other options if she can't find a boot small enough with tech soles. Any ideas?

Thanks mags!
