Fatypus D'Riddum VS ON#P Jeffrey 114: Charging Touring Ski

Hi all!
I can convince my bank account, I'm upgrading my touring setup of 2012 186 Fat-ypus I-Rock w/ Dukes.
Loved the I-Rocks riding Alpental and Crystal, but spending this season in CB & surrounding backcountry, they're a little fat. Also I don't like how the Duke brings you off the ski. Makes leveraging the ski far more difficult, especially for a girthy one.

I'm 5'8'' 150lbs
did a junior comp a few years ago, and love ripping fast. I'm not much of a trick skier, but I do love attempting 180 hucks (wannabe Charlie Ager style) and riding away switch in pow. Poppy and fun, but I definitely want to be able to land on and feel very comfortable at speed.
For my directional ski, I really like my 2014 ON3P Wrenegades. I would just prefer this ski to be more poppy and turnier (I-Rocks can pivot on a dime).


For downgrading the I-Rocks, I was considering the 2015 188 Fat-ypus D-Riddum (2014-2016 are the same model) and 2015 181 or 186 ON3P Jeffrey 114.
I've had great experiences with both brands, so has anyone ridden one or both of these skis?

Also has anyone tried the Cast Binding System?

Looking to spend at 2 to 3 months in Japan starting mid January.
I work online so I´m not looking to get an instructor gig.

Any of you guys done this? What was your experience like?
What kind of costs could I expect (without flights)?
Niseko or Hakuba?
Anything else to keep in mind?

Alaska 2015/2016 - mission fill the bird

Got a group of 6 of us going out in late April for a week and flying 3 days with some touring on the side. Renting an RV (or two). Live the ski Bum dream..

I have for sale a mid 80's slide in truck camper. This camper model is Pilgrim and I believe the weight is in the 1100lb range. I briefly used this camper in my Tacoma, it fits in most smaller trucks!

It's a hard side which is tough to find in a small slide in. This means it's perfect for winter camping (hunting, skiing etc.) It has an original Coleman propane heater, if you know anything about these heaters they are extremely efficient and heat the camper up quickly after a day of adventuring. The cab-over bed slides out to form a massive queen sized bed up top. You can also convert the kitchen table to a lower bunk. It comes with a water sump, sink, and propane stove. It includes both portable camper jacks. The camper was re-sealed and painted by the previous owner, as far as I know it has no leaks. It's in great shape considering its age.

In the last pic I've included some approximate dimensions, please check to make sure this will fit in your truck. You may need a few boards on the truck bed to give a bit of cab-over clearance on modern trucks. Not a problem for me. The two known issues, shown in a pic is one of the two roof vents is cracked and needs to be replaced, no more than $20. Also, the rear door needs to have the lock replaced, the new replacement lock is included. I'm sad to see this go as it's the perfect Colorado adventure camper with a bit more winter comfort than a po-up. The camper is currently being housed at a ranch approx 20mins east of Denver in Watkins, CO. Email or call 720-289-2797 to check it out!

Selling my essentially brand new Breg Fusion brace. I ordered this brace when I thought I would be skiing on my second repaired ACL. I switched to snowboarding and ended up not having a need for the brace. My knee's don't get the abuse like they used to on skis. It's a very nice brace and extremely light and comfortable compared to others I've seen. I've never actually skied, snowboarded or done any activities with the brace. It's only been tried on in the house.

The nice thing about this brace is that it can be fitted very flush with your knee and leg by slightly bending and adjusting the aluminum frame. It's made to be adjusted this way. The straps are comfortable and allow a very snug but not restricting fit. The brace will fit above any ski or snowboard boot as well.

Everything in the photos is included plus the instructions and some extra pads.

This brace can be found online for $550-600.

Cheap mtb suggestions?

I just gave my motobecane away to a friend and am looking for a replacement.
This is where I show my age but holy crap back in my day the top bikes were $2k!
Was hoping for a decent bike I can take on the single track and ride around w my son. Rode my last one 5x/year on dirt, 20x/year around town through the park etc. something used is ideal.
Don't want a Costco Huffy, but also didn't want to spend more than $500-600.

Possible? No Possible? Looked a bit on CL but tons of crap.
