I use a GPS pretty frequently. Sailing, sea kayaking, backcounty skiing, hut-to-hut, SAR, etc.
I have, until recently, been using a gpsmap 76csx.
That water is on the inside of my waterproof gps.
I am debating between an Oregon 600 series and a gpsmap 64.
The 600 series has some features I prefer, including a bigger, more readable screen, and it is lighter and more compact.
The potential drawback is the touch screen. I know this has been discussed here before, but apparently touch screens are improving. And as far as naming waypoints, etc, touch screen has a real advantage.
I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the gpsmap 64- an improved version of my old unit.
Anybody have any experience with the 600 series? Any negatives on the 64 series?
